THE TREE

Today seemed bliss, but it soon won?t be. I had a great adventure in prison.

This afternoon I was sitting on top of a tree, in a park. Little did I know that it was against the law to sit on a tree, and the police soon came to arrest me.

I tried to run away by climbing, but I fell off the tree at last.

I found out that the tree sadly ended up being chopped down because of beavers in the nearby pond.

At least the police got squashed, but I was still vulnerable. One of the police officers called backup. I ran away as fast as I could.

I was taken to court and was sentenced to jail for a week!

When I was taken to jail, there was a mistake in the readings that said I was wanted for killing 1000 people, robbing all of the world?s banks, and stealing the world?s most valuable diamonds!

Worst of all, it said that I was sentenced to solitary confinement at ADX Florence FOREVER!

Nicknamed the ?Alcatraz of the Rockies?, ADX Florence is a prison operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons or the FBP, and this prison was the world?s most inescapable prison!

When I got there, it seemed empty to me. That was because prisoners have to stay in their room for at least 20 hours!

I saw an empty concrete pit. I thought there once was a swimming pool but it had been drained at first glance.

I was led to my cell by very strict cops called Range 13, which only had a toilet!

There was a schedule for mealtime, gym time, and cell time.

I had to ask permission if I wanted to do anything which wasn?t on the schedule.

I couldn’t even return to my cell until it was cell time! At least there are recreational times.

Every day, every cell is checked thoroughly for items that can be used to escape. Anything found will be removed from the cell.

I was doomed! I tried persuading the guards, but that didn?t work.

A week later, I was released from prison. The police found the mistake in my status log and found out that one of the prisoners at the police station hacked the mainframe, causing him to be sent to ADX Florence forever.

I think he might be executed by now.

The chief police officer came to escort me home because I wasn?t old enough to walk back.

I sat in the front seat, and learned about the police, how jail and prison were different, and what the life of a police officer looked like. For a police officer, it was like having new objectives every day!

On the way home, I thought that my parents were worried because they thought I was dead already.

My parents were way too overjoyed to see me! I felt glad that everything was finally over. And so, I lived a normal and happy life afterward.
