Summer

There was a girl who loved to smile. She smiled everyday and people started to think it is weird because she never stops smiling. She doesn’t smile in a nice way but in a creepy way. Her mother was creeped out so she brought her to the doctor. When they got there the doctor said she had a smiling disease and if you look at her for more than 20 seconds you will catch it too and you won’t be able to stop smiling ever again in your life. Luckily she had no friends and people wouldn’t look her in the eyes because she was ugly and she smiled creepily so no one had caught the disease yet. The doctor made her wear a mask to cover her whole face for her whole life and if she takes it off the world can get infected slowly. She was mad and didn’t wanna wear it and ran back home and stayed in her room. At night the doctor and mom shot her when she was asleep so no one would get infected.

Tun

She smiled at him. His face turned red. His friends laughed.

I used to be happy but that was a long time ago.

A small girl named Julie is walking down a country road when she finds a cemetery and one of the grave tombstones had her name. I quickly ran back home, surprised, and also terrified of why my name was on that tombstone. Although one of my dead grandparents’ names could have been the same as mine, I had never heard of them. Either way, I still was terrified.

I dashed into my house, just as mom and dad walked out of the bedroom, terrified when they saw me. I was confused, as they both looked at each other.

“Mom? Dad? What’s happening?” I asked.

“N-no that’s impossible! You should be dead!” my mom exclaimed.

“What do you mean?” I asked in confusion.

“Y-you were stabbed to death, right in this very house, and yet, you are alive,” my dad said calmly. “You’re dead! And yet, you still stand here.” my dad continued

Then it all came back to me. I did die and I remembered who killed me. I didn’t want to tell anyone, as it would be best if I confronted the killer, myself. I remembered his face clearly and it was someone I knew.

After all it was my brother, as he grew jealous of the attention mom and dad gave me. I’m pretty sure he should be in his room, which is upstairs. Mom and dad stood still, Still in shock that I am alive. I was confused as well, on how I was able to come back to life.

Tuln

There was a girl who loved to smile. This is because she has a syndrome of whenever she is drunk and has too much alcohol by instinct she smiles brightly. This Syndrome is called Alcosmilic, it is a very rare syndrome where only few people have it in the world.

One day she drove to her father’s funeral who died due to tapeworm, but there was something wrong. She couldn’t stop smiling because the night before she was at the bar taking multiple shots of pure Russian vodka straight from the mountains of Dagastan.

People gave her weird looks throughout the whole ceremony, but she wouldn’t stop smiling and she didn’t even know it because she was so drunk. Then something bad happened.

When they were finally burying the body in the casket, she with her highly drunk body couldn’t hold herself from unboxing the coffin and taking shots of whiskey with a smile on her face with her dead father. Everybody cheered and thought that this was some sort of joke so they all joined her taking shots, and in the end they made a cult and called the cool clubs clan.

Quinn (Grade 5)

There was a girl who loved to smile. Bertha is a 10 year old girl who lives in Mississippi. She has been smiling for 10 years straight. When she came out of her mother’s belly, she was smiling, not crying. She loves smiling. Her smile is so bright it caught the attention of the US military and they air lifted her to area 51 and they tested how bright of a light her teeth reflected. it was brighter than the sun if you were standing in front of it.

Three days later they thought to bring her to a warzone. Her smile was so bright no one could aim or even see. Right after that the enemies tried bombing her but when the bomb was on the way to her she made the bomb ricochet off her teeth back to the enemy trench.

After this conflict the girl became the USA’s secret weapon as she could take over continents single handedly. After a year of being in the army the US took over the world and she fulfilled her dream to be a lighthouse and everyone had a good life.
