A Walk in the Woods

I was visiting the woods on Saturday like I usually do. I like to play in it, not getting lost until one day.

I heard a creepy voice coming from the middle of the woods. I went to check it out but there I saw nothing. When I was about to go back, I saw a shadow behind one of the trees. I was horrified by what I saw!

It was not human. I confirmed it. It looked like a monster. It had a long tail, a body of a human antler ears and sharp teeth. It looked in my direction, but I don?t think that it saw me. I ran away in the opposite direction until I found the trail back to my home.

The next day I heard the news about a person who also went in the same woods as I did. He went missing. Many thought he died, or the forest was cursed. They locked the forest until they could figure out what was going on.

I was at home wondering why the monster did not see me. I think the demon was going for something else like that person! I was terrified if it was coming for me later at night like he did with that person. I lived near the woods. It could come at any time. My parents knew the news, so they were also surprised.

The police are also investigating the woods because several people went missing recently. This was slowly turning into a big problem for the neighborhood and the police. Some people moved out to a different country and some stayed. They started to put barriers outside of the woods because many people were going in because they wanted viewers to see what was inside the woods. They also died.

Next month literally no one went into the woods. And the police did not find whatever was in that forest. Many people now call the forest – the Cursed Woods. I wanted to move out now as far as possible but my parents did not.

I think people are focusing on the Cursed Woods. Most of the people in my neighborhood have moved out and people have been calling my neighborhood the Ghost Neighborhood. My parents decided to stay because the house was all they have.

When I was researching the Cursed Woods. I found something out Last year a boy called Nick was lost in the forest and never came out. I think the creepy voice was Nick! I came out of my room thinking I was going to go tell my parents, but I refused. And thought if the monster was watching me. And if I told my parents the monster would kill me! I think he was possessed by a monster.

I could not go into the woods because that was the law. But at night I sneaked into the woods. I called the monster, but I called it Nick. It came right away. It did not kill me or attack in any way. It just stood there. I reached out for it and it smelled it. I think it?s friendly, I thought to myself. I asked where the other people were. It said that there was a series of holes that led to a series of spikes impaling anything that fell in the holes.

The monster said in ancient times it?s species were hunted down. The monsters created a barrier of holes and spikes to stop the intruders.

Now I know everything. I won?t tell the police or anyone because they might shoot the monster. The woods were closed forever so no one else got impaled by the spikes. Sometimes I would still visit the monster knowing it was friendly.
