A Trip to the Middle of Nowhere

Grade 3 – Spring 2019

Today was road trip day. My mom said this was going to be a long trip.

?Grace! I think you should start packing,? said my mom.

?Okay!? I said. I started to pack some things. First, I packed some color pencils and some paper. I knew this was going to boring. I packed some board games. Last, I packed my clothes.

I went to bed on the floor because I fell asleep while I was packing.

?Grace! Wake up! It?s time to go!? My mom shouted.

I got changed and quickly ate breakfast. Then I got in the car.

The first two hours were okay but when it got to the third hour it got crazy.

My younger brother started to cry because his ears hurt.

My mom was very mad because the traffic was really bad.

And my older sister, Emily, was really bored so she started to run around the car.

I was trying to sleep but everyone was being so noisy, so I started to scream.

Everything was crazy.

My mom decided to stop at the gas station because the gas was running low.? My brother, sister, and I got some snacks.

After that we were in the car for about one hour until the gas started to run slow. We had to stop. Everyone got out of the car.

It turned out that we were in the desert but there was a hotel nearby, so we slept there. The next morning, we called the mechanic.

They picked the car up and brought us home. My mom told us that we were going to go to the beach.

The next day we went to the beach. When we got there. We had a lot of fun. When it was time for dinner, we went to a restaurant. The food there was really yummy.
